E-waste
Peña’s Disposal is helping save the environment as an approved e-waste collector with the California Integrated Waste Management Board. We work with a local recycler with
“Cradle to Grave” bar code tracking, insuring compliance with environmental regulations and customer privacy. We offer local pickups and participate in special events to encourage proper disposal of e-waste.
What is E-Waste?
E-waste is a popular name for electronic products that are no longer useful. Rather than toss these items in the trash, Peña’s Disposal encourages customers to recycle e-waste so that items can be refurbished and reused.
Some electronics can be recycled so that the materials can be reused, and to keep our landfills free of potentially hazardous waste that electronics contain. For instance, California law designates televisions and monitors as hazardous waste and they should not be included in municipal waste.
- Reduce e-waste by properly maintaining your electronics.
- Reuse still-functioning equipment by donating it to someone who can use it.
- Recycle e-waste through a certified e-waste facility such as Peña’s Disposal.
